Viko Paredeswas born, in LaPaz Bolivia He began the band in L.A. in 1992, later he moved to New York where he formed Alcoholika with amerikan musicians. recording their first album, AGONIKA. It was released in 1995 and Alcoholika's original sound was essentially Heavy Metal that was more melodic than the music for which Viko would become known.

In the incarnation of ALCOHOLIKA.. The original line-up consisted mainly of VIKO (singing and playing guitar), MARCELO PALACIOS (bass), MANUEL QUINO (GUITAR), MONIKAKEGEL (keyboards), GUERY BRETEL ( drums).

Viko inspired in Bolivian native instruments and andean music go back to his country .LA CHRISTO was release 1997 The music was gothic metal techno industrial, and the sound was harsher and more aggressive than what Alcoholika had recorded before. This would prove a pivotal move in the course of Alcoholika la christo. A video for "Witches and Vampires" aired twice on MTV LATINO Headbangers ball. 1998 formed a projet called” esvathika “ into thrash metal .with his brother Vito Paredes.2003 formed another project called El loko into nu metal fsusion with some flamenco sounds in guitar.

In fluenced by andean music he recorded the 3th album TOXICNOLOGY including a fusion of industrial music with andean music.After 2 years of hard work, wild rumors, unreal offers and long negotiations the silence is finally broken. On march 2006 ALCOHOLIKA LA CHRISTO. signed an ambitious record deal with the SWICHZERLAND watermelon entertainment Group Rockseed records the well known and respected label based in Fribourg, already working for successful acts, currently working on the band's career development” this album will release under licence in EEUU,Mexico and more than 18 countries of Europe.

The new line up of Alcoholika at 2007 consisted in Viko Paredes (Vocals and Guitar), Vito Paredes (Vocals and BassGuitar ), Masaru Watanabe (Keyboards) and Mauricio Loza (Drums).
