The band Alcoholika La Christo along with its staff arrived at about 10 o clock that evening; with all the technical support for this presentation. Alcoholika´s staff begun to do the displacement of the equipment on the stage that had approximately two and a half meters high from the crowd, everything was prepared in less than 15 minutes, Although there was no “Sound Check” earlier because of the time and weather conditions, the band was ready to play. It was clear to see that the public was anxious to watch the show of the best band of rock in Bolivia, and as soon as the Sound Engineer, Andres Martines, said “everything is ready, we can start when you want”, the public exploded euphorically following the strength of the music.
Alcoholika La Christo included in their repertoire the most known songs in their musical history, for example: Rain, Toxicnology, Etienne, Sueños, Raza de Bronce and Celia, they also included another well known songs, besides the new promotional track of the new album to be presented next 2008, Puerkos.
The answer of the public can be defined with a single word: just “Incredible”. The presence of the band on the stage was overwhelming, and the level of sound was so incredible over the other bands that it was clear that Alcoholika has reached a very high quality thanks to their sponsor and world famous trademark M-AUDIO. None of the other bands caused as massive response as Alcoholika did over their 60 minutes of presenting their gothic industrial rock. The public joined Viko Paredes, in an excellent chemistry singing all the songs played by the band since the beginning of the concert. The screams, shouts, jumps were endless. Excellent speeches previous to each song and a really good presentation of the band and staff, the crowd claimed the name of each integrant of the band all through the performance. Alcoholika La Christo left an image of being a high level band, not only distinct but also superior to other bands of rock, the quality of sound, the presence on stage of each member of the band: Viko Paredes (Guitar and lead voice), Vito Paredes (Bass guitar and voice), Masaru Watanabe (Keyboards and voice) and Mauricio Loza (Drums). The night was left marked with the best musical excellence ever seen in national bands.
Last Wednesday October the 31st, the famous international brand M-Audio signed a contract with the Bolivian Industrial gothic rock band Alcoholika La Christo. From that date on they are sponsored by a world successful enterprise, beginning to take part as an M-Powered artist. Alcoholika La Christo called a press conference in the main hall of the “Universidad Real” located in the city of La Paz. At about 7:30 Hugo Vargas (Activities Coordinator) welcomed the press and general public and presented officially the event. Andres Martines (Sound Engineer) gave a quick explanation of the importance and leadership of M-Audio with his useful tools for musicians in the entire world and what would be the benefits for alcoholika after forming this union.
M-Audio is a business unity of Avid Technology Inc, leader purveyor in creative tools for musicians based on software for computer and audio professionals. It is a big company with independent offices all through out The United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan. It is the power plant of the industry that gives power and technology to musicians to create, play and record with these tools, hardware/Software, these equipment is completely portable changing the ways of how, when, and where it is possible to make music. Furthermore M-Audio is the world purveyor of the well known software audio digital work station Pro Tools.The central moment of the night was when Viko Paredes, leader of Alcoholika and Gustavo Mendez, M- Audio’s representative, signed the contract that will last for a whole year, with strong expectations of being renewed after that time. Both sides expressed their satisfaction and trust that this union of Alcoholika and M- Audio will last for years to come and will be fruitful, surpassing even the highest expectations.
Once again, Alcoholika adds another accomplishment to their list. Signing this contract, meant that they become the only Bolivian band receiving sponsorship and in the international field, the only band of this genre of music, to take part of the family of M- Audio, along with well known Latin-American musicians such as Juanes, Fito Paez and Aleks Syntek and others, also including Depeche Mode, Los Lobos and Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), within others. Alcoholika La Christo wants to thank M-Audio for the trust they have showed to the band and is absolutely certain that this union will bring excellent results.
